Sociodots Foundation registered as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO)on 2016, functioning under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. This enables it to operate as a non-profit entity, focused on social development and community welfare. Sociodots Foundation is dedicated to empowering marginalized communities through initiatives in rural development, women's empowerment, education, child care, healthcare, and skill development.

Legal Framework
Section 8 Company
Under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, an organization is permitted to be registered as a nonprofit company, and it is strictly prohibited from distributing its profits to members. Sociodots Foundation, as a Section 8 company, is governed by the following:

Regulation & Governance - It must adhere to the compliance requirements of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), including annual filings, audit reports, and a Board of Directors who are responsible for the strategic direction.
